Therapy for Teens

You matter.

Teenage years bring so much uncertainty and change. Moving into independence while having so little control over your world can be both daunting and frightening. Knowing who to trust and how to communicate your feelings doesn’t always come naturally and it is a skill that can be learned and practiced over time. In therapy, you can learn the skills you need to get your emotional needs met by taking up space to learn your own emotions and what you need from others. You are not alone and you deserve to be seen.

Technology has brought a lot of innovation to the world, but it hasn’t all been positive. Social media can create an environment where we compare the worst parts of ourself to the best parts of others. Watching a curated world and feeling so separate and on the outside, isn’t a new feeling, but the way that technology has deepened that divide is palpable for most of our young people who haven’t experienced anything else.
